About Manchester Medsoc

The new Medsoc was founded in 2008 by the Medical Students' Representative Council (MSRC) Committee. It was firstly set up as a way to run social events through the MSRC but soon separated from the MSRC in 2009 to become a students' union society in its own right.

Medsoc is responsible for organising social events, merchandise, annual ball and funding societies and sports teams for medical students in Manchester. It is run by a annually-elected committee of medical students usually starting their third year of studies.

Medsoc has become one of the biggest student societies at The University of Manchester and is being continually developed each year, including the opening of a new Medsoc shop, Medsoc card scheme and website for 2009.

We would like to thank the past MSRC committee of 2008/2009 for all their hard work and effort in creating the foundations of Medsoc for all the future medics of manchester to enjoy!

Medsoc would also like to thank Andrew Cheng and Andrew Mockridge (Medsoc President 2009/10) for designing and initiating this amazing website.
