The Medsoc Committee
President
Hi, I’m Scott and I’ll be this years MedSoc President. I’ve just started
my clinical years at Wythenshawe and I’m determined to make your first
year of Medical School equally, if not more amazing than mine was. I’ve
been involved in other medical societies such as Medics Panto and
Sexpression as well as pursuing a range of sporting activities such as
football, badminton and running. If you have any queries about MedSoc,
don’t hesitate to contact me or any of the committee. Best of luck for
your first year and I’ll hopefully see you around.
Scott

Vice President
Hii everyone! And welcome to Manchester Medical School! Hope you are all excited for the best years of your life! I'm Tamsin and I'll be the MedSoc Vice President for this year. I want to be the face you can all feel comfortable to approach. I'll meet you on the 19th September and will be at the Welcome Fair all day so feel free to come and say hi :)
I am also based at Wythenshawe so I will rarely be in Stopford but drop me an email whenever about whatever!
Contact me at vicepresident@manchestermedics.com :) x
General Secretary
Hi! I'm in charge of merchandise (hoodies, lab coats, MedSoc cards, etc) and generally making sure that we behave ourselves and keep on top of making this year MedSoc's best year yet! I'm making sure that we get some snuggly yet chic hoodies, super sexy lab coats and other awesome medic-y things like the MedSoc cards, sphymomanometers and tendon hammers in at cheapcheap prices especially for YOU!
So if you have any questions, praise or (impossibly!) complaints I can be contacted at secretary@manchestermedics.com, or if you want to pre-order something drop me a line at merchendise@manchestermedics.com and I will sort you out.
Sports and Societies Secretary
Hi. Im Gaz, a third year based at Wythenshawe. This year I will be the
man representing societies, sports teams and charities on the MedSoc
committee.
I am the person to chat to if you are looking for help
with setting up new charities, societies or sports teams, or if you need
any help with one already set up.
A large part of my job is
fundraising and organising events for you guys, so if you have any
ideas/suggestions please get in touch.
In the pipeline already are a
number of exciting events for this year, including the War of the Roses
Sports Invasion event coming in November, and the MedX Factor sometime
in the new year.
In the meantime, get in touch with me if I can help you with anything else, and hopefully see you soon.

Ball Secretary
Hi, I'm Matt and I'm one half of the Ball Secretary this year. My job is
to do all the running around, bartering and general behind the scenes
stuff that goes into making the Medics Ball happen. If you've got any
ideas about the ball then email us at the address below or get it down
on the Facebook group - Manchester Medics Ball 2012
balls@manchestermedics.com.
Ball Secretary
Publicity and Sponsorship Secretary
Evening all,
My name's Richard and I'm the new publicity, sponsorship and robot unicorn secretary. I'm a 'mature' student going into second year so it's likely you'll see me milling around the Stopford building, so if you have a particular problem, if nobody else can help and if you can find me, tap me on the shoulder.
It's my job to update the website as well as secure as many excellent deals for the MedSoc Card as I possibly can. I've spent a fair bit of time trekking around Manchester trying to secure the best deals we can get but I'm going to be continuing to try for more deals throughout the year to make the MedSoc Card an even more invaluble addition to any medics wallet.
Be seeing you around!
