Marrow Manchester

Information
Marrow was initially set up by a group of medical students at the University of Nottingham following the death of a friend from leukaemia in 1998. There are now around 30 active Marrow groups in the UK.
By organising donor recruitment clinics our ultimate aim is to allow every student in the country the opportunity to join the bone marrow register. This is particularly important as students are an ideal target group as they are generally young, healthy and represent a broad cross section of ethnicity.
Marrow groups have recruited 25 % of the total number of new donors who have joined the register and raised many thousands of pounds for The Charity. We aim to continue this important work whilst gaining invaluable skills we will need as doctors and of course, having fun!
