Skin disease is very common, can be highly debilitation and is encountered in patients presenting to a variety of medical disciplines, in, and out of hospital. In general practice, skin problems account for approximately 15% of consultations, yet dermatology is an area that receives very little attention in our undergraduate curriculum.
